|Courtyard Barn was originally an 18th-century hayloft and cowshed, and is now a spacious 8 bedroom, 4 bathroom holiday property on the outskirts of Tideswell village. It is set back from the road adjacent to the original farmhouse and pretty terrace of miners' cottages. The main feature inside is the impressive oak-beamed 'cathedral-ceiling' living room, complete with 400 year old fireplace, rescued from an old monastery. Outside, there are 2 patios, a barbeque area, gardens, 1 acre of field and a lawned area for playing games approximately 5 metres x 25 metres.
Full double glazing and underfloor heating throughout
Please note that for the comfort of all our guests with allergies, we cannot accept pets, and that we operate a no smoking policy inside the house - although you are welcome to smoke outside in the gardens.

|ADDITIONAL 2 BEDROOM COTTAGE: 'THE OUTBACK'
At the rear of the house is a smaller cottage called 'The Outback'. This is like a gatehouse to the entrance to the rear drive, but situated very close to the main house (10 metres door-to-door, across the gravel drive). It is completely private and exclusive to Courtyard Barn. There are no roads to cross as The Outback is entirely contained within the boundaries of our land. This is also where the Games Room is situated.
'THE OUTBACK' IN BRIEF:
The Outback is always rented with the main house and is inclkuded in the price. We never let it separately. It means this whole property can sleep 20 people in a total of 8 double/twin/quad bedrooms (including 2 sofabeds). The main house also has the capacity to seat 24 people around the same table for main meals and social events.
The Outback is an ideal location for those who might prefer to sleep away from the main group.
